End of the month didn't matter, volumes were still real light across the board. In the M&A space the GENZ-SNY saga continues to play out, with the Genzyme CEO saying he doubts that SNY will go the "hostile" route in its bidding for the company and that advisors have not been told to solicit additional bidders beyond SNY.. Overall healthcare was flat to down on the day HMO index -14.58 and the DRG and BTK index pretty close to flat.
