Perhaps the biggest surprise of the day was that the decision by the Fed at the August 10th FOMC meeting wasn�t as definitive as its statement made it appear. It was no surprise that the Kansas City Fed President Hoenig was in opposition to quantitative easing by reinvesting the estimated $400 billion in agency and mortgage debt repayments.
